When the family bought the house, the bathroom was in need of renovation. The walls were half tile and half cork, the electrical wiring was not up to standard, a new heating system was to be fitted and completely new plumbing fixtures and fittings were to be installed. That and a few other things should change.
Before: The bathroom was completely gutted - all tiles were cut off and the sanitary objects removed.
New electrical wiring was installed and new water and sewage pipes were laid.
Then a substructure for the washbasin was bricked and covered with 10 x 10 Travertin tiles. 2 counter top washbasins with appropriate fittings were attached.
Two beautiful silver framed mirrors and sconces have been installed. To give the bathroom a modern Mediterranean flair, I decorated beautiful baskets and natural fiber carpets.
In order to give the small bathroom lightness, the walls were not tiled but completely nested. The beige of the Travertin was picked up on for the wall color and then completely sealed.
Have a nice day,
Tina
